July 16, 2011 – Los Angeles, California, U.S. – A 10-mile stretch of one of Southern California’s busiest freeways, I-405, is closed to traffic all weekend as construction teams demolish the Mulholland Dr. bridge over the freeway. With travelers forced to take alternative routes, havoc was predicted but so far the ”carmageddon” has failed to appear. A police car is parked on the closed road.
