Endless summer is something we all dream of.
A place on the beach, lake, or mountain where you can live and exist without worry or responsibility, and enjoy those long hot days of summer fun. Some of us find it for a week or two during our quick summer vacations, some of us are relegated to weekends, but we all dream of that time in our childhoods that provided us with a simpler existence. Those of us who are parents either secretly wish we could be like our kids, and some of us wish for them to quickly return to school. But, mainly we probably envy them of their innocence and freedom. With the approach of August’s end and the beginning of a new school year, the thing I hear the most from everyone’s lips is, “where did summer go.” How fast did it fly by? Why couldn’t it last a little longer? I am a bit melancholy with summer’s end, and do not look forward to its final gasp with the Labor Day weekend. I too would love to find an endless summer, but then again, I’m not sure I would relish it the way I do as it approaches each year and fades with the changing seasons. Summer time is special, unless you live in Hawaii or any other temperate climate that seems to never change from day to day. Perhaps you love the winters instead. But, winter is for another time, not just yet. Enjoy your weekend and the remaining days of summer.
On a side not, there are quite a few readers who leave great comments here, and on facebook. If you are ever interested in guest blogging, drop me a line, and let’s discuss what you are interested in writing about. I’m looking to expand the earthy report, and would welcome your participation.
