Do you remember that line from the movie The Graduate, starring Dustin Hoffman and Anne Bancroft?  You know, the one where Hoffman’s charatcer is freshly out of college, without a job direction, and at his parents home coming party for him, he is pulled to the side and told, “my boy the future is in plastics.”  In the 1960′s plastics were the rage.  Now in this new century, my boy/girl, your future is in green energy.  I’ve written quite extensively about the green energy sector.

Wind, Solar, Geothermal, and Ocean power sources.  But, one area that I’ve been remiss about is the opportunities in these sectors.  I’m not discussing the opportunities to build the next high tech turbine or super efficient solar panel.  But, something a little bit more down to earth and easily accessible to all.  The job of installing these sustainable energy devices.  Have you taken the time to find an installer for solar panels or wind turbines?  Let alone a geothermal company that can dig your well?  There are not many service providers for any of these devices.  Go online and Google for any of these products in your home town.  You’ll find next to none.  You might find someone in your metro area, but there is no one out there developing a sustainable business plan to create the next green utility provider.  I looked for a wind turbine installer, and found one 60 miles from my home.  Not reassuring if you need a service call.  As everyone waxes green on energy, no one is doing much of anything to build the  service end of it.  I had the same experience with finding a solar installer.  Found one, but they were 45 miles away.  Here is a golden opportunity for the next generation of college graduates.  Get into installing green energy devices.  That should keep you out of trouble.
